A little about the design
I am aware that many of my customers have grandchildren or young people in their lives, for whom they love to make things. So I really wanted to do something for them with the idea of gift-giving in mind. Thus, this is deliberately a fun project and one which I've started in April 2023 in order for it to be possible to be finished in time for Christmas 2023, perhaps to make a special gift? (It doesn't matter if you start it later, I'm sure it will be appreciated at ANY time!!) If you look there are a few sea creatures to keep your 'little creature' company, and in the overall shape I've tried to suggest an old-fashioned ships' wheel, to keep would-be pirates amused

Technical Stuff
The quilt is around 75" x 87" although there is some fiddle room to make it larger or smaller when it comes to adjusting borders. It will be an 8 month project. |
Instalments
I specify the range of fabrics I have used to design this quilt top in the first instalment, but you don't necessarily have to use them. You can diet your stash!
BUT... please, if you don't want to be disappointed, pay close attention to the depth and tone of the fabrics I have used. A lot of the impact of the design comes from this, and it will help you get a good result if you try to stay on the page as regards your substitutions. |
