Welcome!!
A little about the design
A friend of mine, who has Swedish heritage, suggested I might like to consider designing something in blue, yellow and white to celebrate her ancestry. This was an idea I found intriguing, and hit Google to do some research on Swedish customs and traditions to see if there was anything which sparked my imagination. Discovering there is quite a celebration around the midsummer solstice in Sweden was enough to get me going.. and... this is the result. You can enjoy it, I hope, even if you haven't got a drop of Swedish blood in you, because who doesn't like the idea of the warm, happy, days of summer?
To get the most out of this exercise I really recommend you join the Facebook group I have set up for everybody doing the project. There, I will answer questions more quickly than by email usually, share recipes and stories and create a sort of online ‘bee’ where we can all just enjoy each other’s company, no matter where in the world we find ourselves. On Facebook, follow this link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2537347319692318/ or just drop me a line on zelda@modernwelshquilts.com so I can add you

I have specified the range of fabrics I have used to design this quilt top, but you don't necessarily have to use them. You can diet your stash!
