Welcome!!
A little about the design
This design came about because having already done two 'lockdown' designs ('Lockdown Blues' and 'Darkness Before Dawn') I thought it would be nice to round things off and make a 'quilt trilogy' - all in the best artistic tradition!
So here we are - a very positive design to hopefully reflect us putting our feet on a happier path. I was thinking of a sundrenched patio when I was working on this, but one still with a couple of puddles around to remind us of the rainshower just passed.
I wanted it to be a 6 month programme, to match the other two 'lockdown' designs, but the way things worked out there is just too much in there to get everything done in six instalments and I didn't want to stress people by expecting too much from them. So we will do this in eight months, to give everybody a relaxed experience.

Technical Stuff
The finished quilt measures around 80" x 104" It is an eight month programme, starting in February 2022. You can jump on and off at will though, so don't hold back if you want to start it. |
Instalments
I have specified the range of fabrics I have used to design this quilt top in the first instalment, but you don't necessarily have to use them. You can diet your stash!
BUT... please, if you don't want to be disappointed, pay close attention to the depth and tone of the fabrics I have used. A lot of the impact of the design comes from this, and it will help you get a good result if you try to stay on the page as regards your substitutions. |
