Welcome!!
A little about the design
This design came about because of two things: firstly I had been approached by several people who had taken part in my Lake House Block of the Month a little while ago, asking if I could do another project in that palette. Secondly, I was idly flicking through one of my quilting books and noticing that there are a lot of blocks which are either somebody’s ‘choice’ or somebody’s ‘favourite’. I thought it might be rather fun to pick out some of these and seeing if I could make something which was a sum total of these much loved blocks… and here we are!
I have a special fondness for Mystery projects as I absolutely love teasing people as they try to work out what the eventual layout of the blocks will be. This is a 10 month project so I have plenty of time to wind you all up!

Obviously as this is a mystery project I can't show you what the eventual design looks like! But this is one of the blocks used to give you an idea of the colours.
Technical Stuff
The finished quilt is a queen-king size, so quite large It is an 10 month programme, starting in August 2022. You can jump on and off at will though, so don't hold back if you want to start it. |
Instalments
I have specified the range of fabrics I have used to design this quilt top in the first instalment, but you don't necessarily have to use them. You can diet your stash!
BUT... please, if you don't want to be disappointed, pay close attention to the depth and tone of the fabrics I have used. A lot of the impact of the design comes from this, and it will help you get a good result if you try to stay on the page as regards your substitutions. |
