Welcome!!

A little about the design

At the time of writing, we have spent over a year in the process of trying to move back to Wales, never really knowing whether it was going to happen within a month or within the next six. Such has been the story of the last 18 months for us! In the meantime, I have been collecting plants, most of them half-dead refugees from neglected displays, to enable me to hit the ground running in creating a new garden when we move. As it's been a long time now since I started, some of the plants are into their second round of repotting, and my lavendar and lilac plants are flowering, like the brave and beautiful things they are.  They are really so lovely I had to draw inspiration from them, and here it is!

I have specified the range of fabrics I have used to design this quilt top, but you don't necessarily have to use them. You can diet your stash!

BUT... please, if you don't want to be disappointed, pay close attention to the depth and tone of the fabrics I have used. A lot of  the impact of the design comes from this, and it will help you get a good result if you try to stay on the page as regards your substitutions.
