Welcome!!
A little about the design
Once again, I originally set out to design something completely different – sparked by a very nice turquoise, rose pink and gold ceiling I had seen in a church somewhere – but what actually popped out at the end of the process was rather more ‘wild’ and obviously more influenced by my interest in Arabic architecture. And so… Kasbah was ‘born’. Whatever the inspiration, I hope you enjoy this colourful journey!
To get the most out of this exercise I really recommend you join the Facebook group I have set up for everybody doing the project. There, I will answer questions more quickly than by email usually, share recipes and stories and create a sort of online ‘bee’ where we can all just enjoy each other’s company, no matter where in the world we find ourselves. On Facebook, follow this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/2384301431660324/ or just drop me a line on zelda@modernwelshquilts.com so I can add you.

Instalments
I have specified the range of fabrics I have used to design this quilt top, but you don't necessarily have to use them. You can diet your stash!
BUT... please, if you don't want to be disappointed, pay close attention to the depth and tone of the fabrics I have used. A lot of the impact of the design comes from this, and it will help you get a good result if you try to stay on the page as regards your substitutions. |
Technical Stuff
The quilt measures around 104" x 112" when finished
It is an eight month programme, starting in September 2019
